AFTAB SHIVDASANI...........



Aftab Shivdasani graduated from HR College of Commerce in Mumbai.

Aaftab was a fairly well-known child star appearing in films such as Mr India, Shahenshah, and Insaniyat but first broke ice in Bollywood with a starring role in 1999's Mast. In this Ram Gopal Verma-directed film, he starred opposite Hindi actress Urmila Matondkar.

Nevertheless, Aaftab's film career is not considered extremely successful. This could be attributed to his choice of roles and films as well as his shying away from serious characters.

Despite these setbacks, he has appeared in hits like Awara Paagal Deewana, Hungama and Masti, and he remains one of the well known faces among Indian audiences. Aftab also won the best new comer award for his debutant movie Mast in 1999. Aaftab's height is 5'11. Aftab is dating Actress and doctor Priya Kamath.



Aftab Shivdasani's Hungama a comedy film of 2003, it was a biggest hit. The hero have been riding on crest.

Aftab's debut film was Mast opposite Urmila Matondkar. He got a Film Fare Award as a New Comer for this film. Then he did Kasoor opposite Lisa Ray. This was a thriller movie in which he had done a negative role. All the songs of this film was super hit. He had done lots of films like Koi Mere Dil Se Pooche, Footpath, Awara Paagal Deewana, Darna Mana Hai etc. Till now he had done different roles in his films. He always wanted to be a versatile actor. Aftab latest movie Masti is running successfully in halls. It is the story of three friends who cheats their wives.

He had done Muskaan opposite Gracy Singh a thriller film.

His young and spirited portrayal in the Coke and Nestle Bar-one ads caught the creative eye of Ramgopal Varma who needed the same innocent character for his movie, 'Mast'.

This was not his first exposure to the arc lights though; he is originally a Shekhar Kapoor find as a child artiste who debuted as a young boy in Mr. India. As a child artist he was seen in movies including Shahenshah, ChaalBaaz, C.I.D and Insaniyat before Mast came his way.



Then came Vikram Bhatt's Kasoor, where he played the dark character of Shekhar Saxena Hugely appreciated for his role, Aftab was seen in movies including Love Ke Liye Kuchh Bhi Karega, Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat, Kya Yehi Pyaar Hai and Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe. But his real hits came with the comedies, Awara Paagal Deewana (2002) and Hungama (2003) and the biggest hit of his career was "Masti' where he was seen with Vivek Oberoi and Hritesh Deshmukh, where the three men, in a wish to spice up their love lives, find themselves stumbling upon the most comic situations.

Aftab's forthcoming releases include Mazhab: The religion, and Darwaza Band Rakhna.
