Upen Patel (born August, 16, 1980 in London, England is a model and actor in Bollywood.Upen Patel was born and brought up in London, England and then became a model.

He has modelled for brands such as Hugo Boss, Paul Smith and Zegna.He got noticed in Bollywood in 2006 when he made his debut in the film 36 China Town which was a big success at the box office. He has since decided to try his luck in the Bollywood film industry. He is learning to speak Hindi fluently.

He previously dated Bollywood actress Amrita Arora and is now dating Shamita Singha, who is a model and a VJ on B4U.

Upen an Indian male-model was born in India but brought up in United Kingdom. Immediately, after graduating in Media Studies from West Herts College in UK, he was sighted by a photographer in Britain after which he was offered his first modelling assignment. He modeled for brands such as Hugo Boss, Paul Smith and Zegna. After coming to Mumbai (India) he walked the ramp for the first time in the india-fashion week and currently is a global name on the fashion front

As he continued to rock on the fashion ramp, it was his first remix video Sun Sahiba Sun which got him his first step towards Bollywood following with another music video having classic Bollywood song Kya Khoob Lagti Ho featuring Udita Goswami. Finally in 2006 he made his Bollywood debut in the murder mystery film 36 China Town, where he played a casanova type character who is suspected of murder. Since then he has done very few movies as he is in no hurry and is waiting patiently for the right offer.
