AJAY DEVGAN.......



Ajay Devgan is one of the most sincere and intense actor of the Bollywood film industry. He was born on 2nd April to the famous action man Veeru Devgan. The moment his son was born Veeru Devgan knew that his son will be a famous actor one day. Ajay too left no stone unturned in proving his father right.

Ajay Devgan made his entry in the Bollywood with his blockbuster hit "Phool Aur kaante" where he dared to ride two motor cycles. The film that brought true success to Ajay was Mahesh Bhatt's 'Zakhm'. Ajay had to play the part of a man who gets caught in Bombay's communal crossfire when his mother is killed by a rioting mob. He followed this up with an equally powerful performance in 'Kachche Dhaage' (1999).
And then came the crowning glory of his successful foray into the sensible end of commercial cinema: Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam'. He continued his success journey with more movies in line like Dil Kya Kare, Raju Chacha which though bombed at the box office yetcreated a name for Ajay Devgan.

On a personal note Ajay Devgan married his girl friend Kajol. He also got got two National Awards for his two films Zakhm and The Legend Of Bhagat Singh.



Ajay Devgan been on a roll since 2002. Roles, banners, hits, awards he got all of them. Its like in 2003 whatever he has touched had turned to gold. He had done variety of rolls going from Bhoot to Qayamat to Gangajaal with amazing ease. Year 2004 looks promising and the good time will be promising.

Ajay Devgan was born on 2nd April in Bombay. His father Veeru Devgan is a action hero. After graduation from "Mithibhai College" he has taken to the direction of video films on his own story lines.

His entry into the Bollywood is like a bolt from the blue with his first film Phool Aur Kaante by Kuku Kohli hitted the box offices and the sale of audio album of the movie was beyond expectation. Later the films he produced on their own banner - "Devgan Entertainment And Software Ltd." - along with his father could not satisfy him. He's not the one who gives up and through his sheer determination and hard work he finally managed to find a place for him among the top and has been working sincerely for his forth coming projects.

Ajay Devgan got married to his long-time girl friend and his professional colleague Kajol and is now blessed with a baby girl.

He has got two National Awards for his two films Zakhm and The Legend Of Bhagat Singh. He is excellent in performing intense roles in both action and emotional kinds.

Vishal Devgan , born (April 2, 1967 in Delhi, India), popularly known as Ajay Devgan is an actor working in the Hindi film industry (Bollywood). Beginning as an action hero in the early 1990s, Devgan matured early in his career, as is widely regarded now as one of the finest actors in the industry.



He is originally from Punjab. His father is Veeru Devgan, a director and stunt man. His brother is Anil Devgan, a film director in Bollywood.

He did his schooling from Silver Beach High School in Juhu & graduated in Mithibai College.His debut film was Phool Aur Kaante, where he played opposite Amrish Puri and which started his Bollywood career and for which he won a Filmfare Best Debut award.

Though most of his earlier movies were action films, he broke this trend when he starred in the comedy Ishq in which he acted with his future wife Kajol.This was followed by critically acclaimed hits like Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Zakhm which earned him a National Award. His association with Ram Gopal Verma resulted in box office successes, notably Company and Bhoot.

Recently he has worked in successful films like Kaal, Golmaal and played the title role in the critically acclaimed adaptation of Shakespeare's Othello titled Omkara.Ajay.

Devgan married the successful actress Kajol on February 24, 1999. They have one daughter, Nysa Mukherjee- Devgan, born April 20, 2003.

His first ever introduction on celluloid saw him make an entry on two motorcycles, a feat one could only expect from the son of legendary action director, Veeru Devagn. The film was Phool Aur Kaante and it marked the arrival of Hindi Cinema's new "dark, angry, young man' a title earlier bestowed on Amitabh Bachchan post Zanjeer.



Ajay quickly solidified his position as the angry young man with several hit action films, and was categorized as an "action hero'. Being the son of a master action director, it was only obvious that Ajay would excel in action, but he surprised the industry and audiences alike with his comic performance in Ishq and his heart rendering romantic performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. Ajay quickly proved that there was no genre of cinema which was alien to him and he continued to excel in each of his roles and his stellar performance in Mahesh Bhatt's Zakhm fetched him his first ever National Award.

Contrary to his on screen image, Ajay is a very soft spoken introvert and yet a master prankster on the sets of his films, an actor who has rarely ever been spoken ill of by his co-actors. Have experimented and excelled in his performance across all genres, Ajay has proven that he is one of the most versatile and bankable actors of the industry.
